How to apply for a New Passport Online..?

We can use the passport as ID proof. And if we want to go to another countries passport it is the mandatory document. Indian passport issued by the Indian government. There are two main types of passports in India. The first one is an ordinary passport. Yes, this ordinary passport issued to ordinary individuals these are the general-purpose passports. and another one is Official or Diplomatic passports are issued to people traveling to foreign countries on official duties. While applying for Indian passport we have to submit several valid documents. Yes, we have to submit our Id proof, Address proof, and age proof. Below are the mandatory documents.

3) Driving license
4) PAN card
5) Bank passbook
6) Proof of gas connection
7) Certificated from employer

Online passport application Submission :

You can visit the Official passport Seva website or you can download the mobile application “mPassport Seva”. Yes, now you can submit your application from the mobile application also. Its a Perfect and Simple app to get a passport. Just download the app and save up to 500 which you have to pay at an internet cafe.

Step 1: Download the mPassport Seva application from your play store or AppStore Or Visit the official website of Passport Seva. Here is the Link: https://portal2.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/welcomeLink#

Step 2: Now click on New User Registration and you have to register and create your account, If you are existing user Click on “Existing user login” you can log in using user-id & password

Step 3: After login, Click on ” Apply for fresh passport/ re-issue of passport.

Step 4: Fill all the required details in the form and submit. You can also

partially fill-in the form and complete the process at a later date. Before submitting the application please check all details & submit them.

Step 5: Here Click on “Pay and Schedule Appointment” and schedule your appointment and pay the payment. Online payments are mandatory for booking appointments. you can make the payment through, Credit/Debit Card (MasterCard and Visa), Internet Banking, SBI Bank Challan.


Step 6: Now Click on “Print application receipt” and take the print out. The application receipt containing an appointment number for future reference. And you will receive the appointment number and other details to your register mobile number through SMS.


Step 7: Visit the Passport Seva Kendra or Regional office Where an appointment has been booked. And please don’t forget to take all the original documents along with you.

Once you completed all the above steps you will get an SMS for police verification. And you can track your application status online or mPassportSeva App. Click on the “Status tracker” option and enter your File number $ Date of birth you will get a status of your application.

After some days you will receive an SMS for police verification. Every applicant who is applying for a passport in India undergoes the process of police verification to ensure that he or she is living in the same address as mentioned in the application form. after successfully completion of police verification. You will receive your passport through India post.
